But if you have a female, you never want to pet her under her wings. This causes the bird to be sexualized. And the female bird will wind up laying eggs. Some females can lay up to five or six eggs during breeding season. This can be very physically hard on a bird. Females, they should never be pet under the wing. In fact, there are some females That you don’t even need to touch and they will start to make a panting sound and action. As soon as this kind of behavior is seen, you should stop petting the bird immediately and put it on its cage. Female cockatoos will end up laying unfertilized eggs just like a chicken. I have lost two female cockatoos because they have developed eggs that were bonded. Please please trust me on this. These are deaths that you can prevent. And there’s nothing worse than losing your best friend. It’s better just to pet the birds head and around their ears And beak. If you start to notice any behavior that looks like your bird is shaking uncontrollably and panting, this is what they do when they are sexually excited. You must stop what you’re doing immediately or your bird will be laying eggs in a week or two.

I have had my cockatoo for 20 years and petting under the wings has always been a big no no for him making him very sexually frustrated.

So wrong. Don't listen to the video, only neck up. It can sexually stimulate your bird don't do it with your cockatoo or macaw. Absolutely can throw a bird off balance. They can begin to pluck from frustration of not being able to be satisfied by a human and not another bird. They can call turn on other people. If you pet your cockatoo or macaw like this expect any visitors or anyone else they meet to be bitten or attacked. Absolutely not a good way to pet a large bird.

nice video except when the console says "r empty", it doesn't mean knit to the right. It means knit one row with no strippers or yarn. When it said knit l row to the right, then you proceeded to move the carriage to the left.

The use of concrete perches will also help keep your bird's nails trimmed. We use them almost exclusively & rarely have to manually trim them.

this is exactly how I trim my african greys nails, but I give him cuddles n kisses and he just loves to get his nails done. He's 8 weeks old and has sharp nails but I'm glad I filed his nails.

what if the bird does it all the time? she has fresh water 10cm away from her and she drinks it, so it cant be B, and she started doing this so often (sometimes hours long) a month ago, though nothing has changed in her (sleeping) habbits
